Romano& Telegraph: Isaac still wants to leave the team& reiterates his hope to go to Liverpool and will continue to stop training
Shortly after the Telegraph reported, Romano also reported similar news: "Isaac made clear that it wanted to transfer to Liverpool, and this position has not changed after recent negotiations. If Newcastle opens its doors, Liverpool will make another offer."
It is reported that the delegation of the Newcastle Fellows (PIF) together with joint owner Jamie Ru went to Isaac's home on Monday, but did not even make any progress in persuading players to resume training.
Isaac seems determined to stop training until the ideal transfer or the transfer window is closed. With just six days left to the deadline, it's almost certain that he will miss Saturday's game against Leeds United after he has refused to play against Aston Villa and Liverpool.
Liverpool is believed to be preparing to bid again after the first round offer of £110 million rejected more than three weeks ago, but they are waiting for "encouragement" from Newcastle's board of directors.
But it is understood that if there is no hope of acceptance, Liverpool will not bid again and will not pay a price of nearly £150 million for Newcastle.
