The truth is revealed! Thomas committed a crime three years ago but his name was not disclosed & still played 108 games for Arsenal
After two and a half years of investigation, Ghana midfielder Thomas, who left Arsenal this summer, was formally charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
In July 2022, the Sun reported on Thomas' arrest for alleged rape. Reports at the time said the player was on vacation in the Mediterranean and raped a woman in her 20s. The woman fled the hotel afterwards and returned to her home in the UK.
After returning home, the woman reported the case to the police and showed her bruises, and the police took action only a few hours later. At three a.m., police dispatched six police cars to the player's home to arrest him and conducted an interrogation for at least 15 hours.
The police made a supplementary report on the case situation and found that the player was suspected of two other rape cases in 2021 during the arrest. The Sun finally said that the club the player played for declined to comment. The Telegraph also reported the same news, which said they contacted the club where the player played, and the club knew the player was under investigation. The Telegraph pointed out that the media cannot disclose the player's name according to relevant legal reasons.
Since then, Thomas still played for Arsenal for three seasons, played in 108 games in total, scoring 7 goals and contributing 3 assists.
