The Telegraph reported that RB Leipzig hopes to sign Nkunku back and wants to add him to the deal with Harvey Simmons.

Chelsea is actively promoting the cleaning of several players, including Nkunku, in order to make room for the introduction of Simmons and Garnacho. If Simmons leaves the team, RB Leipzig has previously had an affair with Liverpool's Xavi Elliott, but the Bundesliga club is more inclined to explore the transaction plan of repurchasing Nkunku + cash.

Enkunku, who joined the Blues for £52 million in June 2023, has never been able to fulfill his value due to long-term injuries. At the age of 27, he has 16 goals in his last season in Leipzig, and his old club is open to his return.

Although Chelsea's official offer for Simmons has not been received yet, Leipzig is aware of the other party's strong interest and has started a dialogue. The Dutch international, who bought out from Paris Saint-Germain in January last year for 43 million pounds, is currently valued at nearly 60 million pounds. The specific structure of the transaction remains to be discussed, and it is not clear whether Enkunku himself is willing to return.

In addition, the Telegraph said that even if Simmons is successfully signed, Chelsea will not give up on their pursuit of Garnacho, but will try to lower Manchester United's price of 50 million pounds against the 21-year-old Argentine international.
