Nuno: We will talk to our boss after this round of league, and international match day is the right time
Forest coach Nuno revealed before last weekend's game against Crystal Palace that he had a rift with his changing personality Chairman Marinakis.
Nuno criticized the club's transfer operations since the end of last season. It is reported that the new sports director Edu has played a more dominant role in the signings. But Nuno said he had communicated with Marinakis over the phone and was convinced that reports of his possible dismissal were pure nonsense.
He said: "We have not had a chance to meet this week, it's a tough week for both of us, busy work, and the president is currently in Monaco for the UEFA Cup draw. We have to have a conversation."
"Things should be done at the right time, and the best time is after the game. Now we are focusing on West Ham's game and then entering international match day, which I think is the right time."
Since Nuno, who took charge of Nottingham Forest in December 2023, led the team to seventh in the Premier League last season. This ensured the club qualifying for the European war for the first time in 30 years. Because Crystal Palace was relegated for violating the ownership regulations of UEFA's multiple clubs, Forest was able to replace it in the UEFA Cup rather than the original Europa League qualification.
Nuno stressed that he and Marinakis were concerned about the interests of the club and added: "The situation is OK. We are giving our all to the competitive performance, which is really important. The dialogue will be held after the game."
"I am completely relaxed in this regard. We need to discuss the club's future plans, how to adjust the strategy after the transfer market ends, and our commitment to the club. The chairman and I have the same goals. We both want to strive for the best results for the forest, which is beyond doubt."
