Fight against the Premier League! Pharmaceutical factory executives propose to set up salary caps: We will lose to Premier League champions this summer
At a meeting in Frankfurt over the weekend, Pharmaceuticals CEO Carlo proposed a salary cap in the football world and put forward his own view: the Premier League is trying to become the core product of Europe, even above the Champions League.
He said: "I usually oppose various regulatory measures, but I think we have to work for it this time. We wanted to sign a player this summer, but a Premier League team offered higher transfer fees and salary than we did, and we were a top four team in the Bundesliga.
He also said: "The Premier League has far more funds and resources than any other league in league. This is not good for us, absolutely nothing. ”
French media RMC added that although UEFA has introduced the "Financial Fair Competition Rules" that require club expenditures to be linked to revenue, the financial gap between the Premier League and other European leagues is still widening. According to a UEFA report, the Premier League generated cumulative revenue of more than 7.1 billion euros in the 2023-2024 season, while the Bundesliga revenue was about 3.6 billion euros during the same period, and the Premier League revenue was almost twice that of the Bundesliga.
