Mirror reported that since becoming Arsenal's sporting director in March this year, Andrea Berta has been working hard to bring in new players for Arteta. He immediately had an impact on transfer and club strategy, signing Portugal Sports forward Yorke for £63.7 million.

In the first few weeks of his new position, Berta made a big push to sign the Swedish player. Yorke scored his first goal at Arsenal against Everton on Saturday and is expected to lead the front line in next weekend's Premier League opener. In addition, at the Soha Real Estate Training Center, Gabriel, Skeley and Envanelli have also signed new contracts in the past two months. Berta now turns his attention to the player sale in the final weeks of the transfer window.

This is when the expertise and extensive connections of Italian Berta really come into play. So far, Arsenal has only received £8.57 million for Lazio and Marcinhos by selling Nuno Tavarez. The board of directors agreed that the club needs improvement in this regard. Chelsea raised about £45 million by selling Armando Broa and Leslie Ugochuku to Burnley; while transfers such as Nunes allowed Liverpool to recover £202.5 million through player sales this summer. After a 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao, Arteta made it clear that Arsenal needed to sell some players to increase the chances of further signings.

When asked if Arsenal had completed all signings, he said: "Let's see what the team is going on in the next few weeks. We are actively looking for options and there are some players who may need to leave. We are open to all possibilities."

Many marginal players may leave. Fulham is still discussing signing Nelson, who joined Craven Farm on loan last season. Marco Silva's side recently suspended negotiations with Nelson in favor of Kevin of Donetsk Miners, but the Ukrainian side rejected their proposal and the 22-year-old was unwilling to travel to West London. Nelson returned to Arsenal after a hamstring surgery in February, and other Premier League teams were interested in him. Fulham tried to arrange an initial loan, but Arsenal prefers permanent transfers, despite Nelson's outstanding performance in the Asian preseason. Arsenal considers him to be one of the most market-worthy assets and any transfer will comply with the PSR regulations as he is a graduate of Helley End's youth training camp.

In addition, Fabio Vieira, who joined from Porto for £34.7 million in the summer of 2022, but has not yet found his place at the Emirates Stadium. Stuttgart continues to negotiate a permanent transfer, with Arsenal hoping to receive a transfer fee of £17.35 million (20 million euros). The German team has cash available because French player Enzo Milot chose to join the Saudi professional league. Vieira has been told to leave the team, and he got Arteta's long vacation after participating in the club's World Cup and has not yet made a preseason appearance.

Porto also made a £23.4 million offer, hoping to rent first and then buy defender Jacob Kiviol, but Arsenal did not accept it. They are still getting Gabriel back gradually, who underwent hamstring surgery in April. Kiviol also received attention from Juventus and other Italian teams, but Arteta would be happy to keep the highly praised Polish player if he doesn't make a request for departure.

Goalkeeper Carl Hein attracted the interest of Levante and the Wanderers, and Sevilla had also been interested, but they were finalizing the loan of Odyssus Frahodimos in Newcastle. Levante hopes to loan Hein, but Arsenal prioritizes a permanent transfer as his contract expires in 2026.

Zinchenko may also leave the team, as his contract will expire next summer, but his salary is a problem. AC Milan had asked before, but there has been little progress since, despite rumors that Fulham is interested in him.

Arsenal still has difficulty finding a buyer for midfielder Loconga, who has played for Sevilla and Luton Town on loan. The gunman is ready to let him go, but has not received a formal offer.

After Saturday's game, Arteta observed post-match training, with players with no or limited playing time, including Vieira and Hein.

forward Jesus has attracted interest from the Brazilian team, but he is currently focusing on recovering from knee surgery in January.

Trosad may also be considered for sale if there is a suitable offer, and negotiations for renewal contracts are stagnant, but it is still unclear whether he will leave the team.
