Sky Sports: Victory attempt to introduce Manchester United captain B Fee failed, the player had previously rejected the new moon
According to Sky Sports, Riyadh failed to sign Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandez. Despite contact through the middleman, Riyadh Victory did not formally make an offer to Manchester United. It is worth mentioning that Riyadh's winning captain Cristiano Ronaldo is Fernandez's teammate in the Portuguese national team.
Earlier this summer, Fernandez had rejected the invitation from another Saudi United club, Riyadh Crescent. Riyadh Crescent had been willing to almost triple the Portuguese midfielder’s salary of £250,000 a week and was preparing to pay Manchester United’s £100 million transfer fee to sign the team’s captain. However, Fernandez, 30, rejected the offer because he did not want to go to Saudi Arabia at this stage.
Manchester United has no intention of selling their captain, and Fernandez's contract with the club will last until 2027 and will have the option to extend it for another year. Since joining Manchester United from Portugal Sports in January 2020, the Portuguese international has contributed 98 goals and 87 assists in various competitions. Fernandez was a great showdown on Manchester United's U.S. preseason tour, scoring two goals against West Ham United, helping the team win 2-1.
