"Sky Sports" reporters Dharmesh Sheth and Lyall Thomas reported that negotiations for Manchester United's bid to acquire Brentford striker Mbemo are still ongoing.

On Friday, the two sides negotiated on the £65 million basic transfer fee plus £5 million additional clause proposed by Manchester United. Brentford has not yet made a formal response to the offer submitted by Manchester United on Thursday afternoon. Mbemo has been hoping to join Manchester United for more than a month, and the Red Devils have also praised his determination.

Earlier this week, the Cameroon international returned to Brentford's pre-season training camp with his equally uncertain teammate Ioana Visa.
