At 22:00 on October 26, in the ninth round of the 2025-26 Premier League season, Arsenal will face Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium. Before the game, the London Evening Standard predicted Arsenal's possible starting lineup.

Gabriel was forced off in Tuesday's 4-0 Champions League win over Atletico Madrid, with head coach Mikel Arteta saying on Friday he was unsure whether the Brazilian centre-back would be available for the weekend's game against Crystal Palace. Arteta said this: "Obviously, Gabriel left the field due to injury and has not resumed training yet. Let us see how he recovers in the next 24 hours before deciding whether he can play on the weekend."

Arteta also faces the problem of choosing the left wing. Against Atletico, he made two changes, with both Martinelli and Skelly entering the starting lineup. The two performed well, with Skelly assisting Martinelli for Arsenal's second goal. However, Trossard and Calafiore are likely to return to the starting lineup, having started in last Saturday's 1-0 win over Fulham.

Calafioli started all eight Premier League games this season and performed well. Trossard was on the bench for the first time since last month after starting four consecutive games. Arteta is unlikely to make too many changes given Arsenal's rotation for Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash with Brighton. That game will provide Arteta with plenty of rotation opportunities, just like he did in the last round of the Carabao Cup.

Arsenal has had a great start to the Premier League season, losing only one game. Raya will continue in goal, while Timber is expected to start at right-back. Saliba will guard the core of the defense and if Gabriel is unable to play, summer signing Mosquera may partner with him. In the midfield, due to captain Odegaard's injury, Rice, Eze and Sowemendi are expected to form a three-man midfield.

On the offensive end, Saka may serve as captain, and Jocles hopes to continue his excellent performance against Atletico Madrid. Madueke, Odegaard, Havertz and Jesus are still out injured, but Arteta said all four are actively recovering.

Predicted Arsenal starting line-up (4-3-3): Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafioli, Eze, Suvimendi, Rice, Saka, Jokeres, Trossard

Doubtful: Gabriel

Injuries: Havertz, Madueke, Jesus, Odegaard (both knees).
