Lymphoma is one of the most common tumors in dogs. In dogs, 7-24% of malignant tumors are lymphomas, of which lymphoma accounts for 83% of malignant tumors in hematopoietic tissues. Lymphoma is also a type of leukocyte carcinoma, accounting for about 7-14% of all canine cancers.

lymphocytes are found in the lymphatic system in the body, including lymph nodes, spleen, liver, and bone marrow. As part of the immune system, protect the body from infectious viruses and bacteria. Lymphoma can affect almost any organ in the body, but it mainly affects the functions of the lymphatic circulation and immune system. There are currently more than 30 kinds of canine lymphomas, with varying aggression, survival rate and clinical symptoms. Some forms develop rapidly, while others progress slowly. They are chronic and inactivated disease types. However, no matter how fast the lymphoma develops and is not treated in time, it will still be aggressive and lead to high mortality.

The average age of most dogs with lymphoma is about 8 years old, and the common breeds of good-haired dogs include Labrador, Golden Retriever, Bassettlement, St. Bernard, Scottish Terrier, Boxer, Puggo, French Bulldog, etc. The breeds with lower risk are dachshunds and Pomeranians.

The causes of canine lymphoma are not yet known, but several possible factors have been studied that can cause an increase in the incidence of lymphoma, including genetic mutation, viral infection, immune factors, etc. There are more and more studies now showing that certain environmental factors are also believed to be related to the occurrence of lymphoma, such as herbicides, pesticides, paints, chemical solvents, etc., which will lead to an increase in the incidence of lymphoma. Therefore, dogs living in industrial areas have a relatively high chance of developing lymphoma.
