Disease Class|How to treat scythe mites in dog skin
Canis mange (mites) is caused by parasitism of dogs manges. This disease is more common in autumn and is more common in dogs with poor skin hygiene conditions. The scabies mite is small and is gray or yellow-white. It looks slightly round, with no obvious distinction between the head, chest and abdomen. The surface of the body is composed of tough horny skin, and some bristles, thorns and scale-like structures are produced. The mouthpart is located at the front end of the insect body, with four pairs of conical limbs on the ventral surface, and some limbs have suction cups at the ends. The male insects are smaller than the female insects, and their number is much smaller than that of the female insects. The morphology of the insect egg is similar to that of the adults, but there are only 3 pairs of limbs. Scabia mites mainly occur in winter, late autumn and early spring. Because of insufficient sunlight exposure in these seasons, dogs have long and dense fur, especially the kennels are wet, poor hygiene, and the development and reproduction of scabia mites is more suitable for the conditions of high skin surface temperature.
【Clinical Symptoms】
Scabia mites often start at the bridge of the nose, cheeks, ear roots, and armpits. In the early stage, small red nodules appear on the skin, which later becomes blisters. After the blisters rupture, viscous yellow oily exudates flow out. After the exudates dry, they form fish scale scabs. Some of the itchy parts are severe, and sick dogs often scratch the affected area with their claws or rub against various objects on the ground. When the scabies parasite is outside the dog's ear, the skin of the ear becomes inflamed, a large amount of serous oozing out, and it often causes secondary purulence. The sick dog keeps shaking his head and scratching his ears, which even causes bleeding from the external auditory canal. Sometimes it rotates to the side with the heavier lesions, and later the lesions may spread to the forehead and the back of the ear shell.

【Rehabilitation and Health Care and Prevention】
Sick dogs should be isolated and treated in a timely manner, so that the dogs cannot stay in humid and dark kennels, and regularly clean and disinfect the kennels and management equipment. Foreign dogs must be quarantined before being raised in groups. The kennels and utensils that have been raised in dogs with scabies need to be disinfected before they can be used. For dogs with mange disease, pay special attention to the health care of the dog's body surface, and regularly groom the dog's fur and bathe, and blow dry immediately after taking a bath.
